Australia 2007:

After the invitiation of "Serbian Cultural Club St. Sava Hoxton Park" from Sidney the Ensemble „KOPAONIK“ from Leposavic has started the tour to Australia . They left Belgrade on January 21st, 2007 and arrived to Sidney on January 23th, 2007 (per local time). There the hosts have been waiting for them. After the reception in "Serbian Cultural Club St. Sava in Hoxton Park" the Ensemble members went to home of their hosts. The tour has finished on February 13th, 2007. November 2006:

The Ensemble have retained month November because there have been two very important dates. Acctualy, on November 12th the Enesemble has celebrated a glory, St. King Milutin for the first time. A week later the Ensemble has taken part in 13th competition of Ensembles in the town Pozarevac. After the Gold medal that the Ensemble got six years ago, this time the Ensemble has got a Silver medal. The success was bigger because the art director of the Ensemble has got a speccial acknowledgement for the research in "Djurdjevdan" choreography. Even the Ensembles with a bigger tradition could envy the Ensemble Kopaonik success. Because of that we congratulate to the members of the Ensemble Kopaonik on this success.

October 2006:

The tenth month in the year is marked as the month for the designing of the Ensemble's assembly. The school of violin, as well as the singing group participated in that program. The assembly accepted the proposal for the Ensemble's glory, St. King Milutin.

 

September 2006

September was the month reserved for deserved rest. The Ensemble organized the school of flute. That was one of two activities of the Ensemble in this month.  Another activity refers to concert in the town Aleksandrovac. The reason for performing of this concert was o grape harvest.

 

X Review of Folklore Richness "St. Marry's Meeting"
Leposavić, August 27th – 30th 2006

The end of August in Leposavic is marked with the tones of a piece from Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece and Montenegro. The St. Marry’s Meeting is performed once more. This was the tenth meeting in organization of the Folklore Ensemble “Kopaonik” and the Culture Centre “Sava Decanac” Leposavic. The sponsors of this manifestation were Leposavic Municipality, Serbian Ministry of Culture and Media. The media sponsors were TV “Piece” from Leposavic, as well as TV “Bridge” from Mitrovica North.

August 2006:

The Ensemble has realized a big expedition through Belgium in a period of August 07th to 16th. That expedition has characterized with a huge number of concerts over Belgium. The Ensemble has performed the choreographies in the towns Bridz and Bernem. At the end of expedition the Ensemble visited town Briesel. When the Ensemble came to Serbia, It was the guest in village Priluzje anent the placing bedrock of a church. Anyway, beside rich activities In August, the Ensemble has prepared for the most important days in a year – for the glory of Ensemble, at the same time for a Big International Folklore Festival - St. Marry’s Meeting 2006.

July 2006:

The members of Ensemble „Kopaonik“ were active during hot July days, too. At the beginning of month, acctualy on July 4th the art director Djordje Lakusic and the chief of orcherstra Nebojsa Milojevic take a part in the creating of choreography for the Ensemble “Dobrotin” from Dobrotin, as well as for the Ensemble “Mladost” from Gotovusa. The award for their work the art director Djordje Lakusic, the chief of orcherstra Nebojsa Milojevic as well as Kosovo’s girl Nina Markovic got in Strpce. They were the guests in the honor of big religious holiday called “Ivanjdan” on July 7th. After that, the Ensemble members had the concert in Usce in the Potato Party. The next day the art director Djordje Lakusic and the chief orchestra Nebojsa Milojevic were in Sjenica in a big concert during a orthodox holiday Petrovdan.

June 2006:

The activities of the Ensemble „Kopaonik“ in June in the end of spring and the beginning of summer marked the performance in the town Lazarevac on the Big Meeting of Creativity. On that manifestation the Ensemble got the Gran – Prix Award. Then the Ensemble members went to monastery Banjska to present the program on the jubilee of magazine “Hvosno”. The Ensemble had a very important concert on June 19th in Zvecan. The main reason for the concert was the forming an alliance of municipalities Leposavic, Zubin Potok and Zvecan with the municipality Tavanjako from Italy. The Ensemble members could show their hospitality ten days after the concert in Zvecan. Namely, the Serbian Cultural Club “Sveti Sava Hoxton Park” from the town Sidney in Australia came to Leposavic. They had the concerts on June 26th and 27th in Socanica and Gracanica.  The concerts were the part of big ceremony during the big Serbian holiday called Vidovdan. The guests, as well as the hosts were satisfied with the collaboration.

 

 

May 2006:

The sunny days of May were the reason for new performances of the Ensemble “Kopaonik”. The Ensemble had the concerts in the wide area of Kosovo and south Serbia. There was the concert in Raska, participating in program during the honor of Cultural Center Leposavic, presenting the choreographies in the glory “St. Vasilije Ostroski”. The young members of the Ensemble were the participants in a Meeting of Young Creativity in Zubin Potok. A week later the Ensemble presented his own program in Zvecan. On the end of month the Ensemble was the host to Ensemble “Kolo”. They had the concerts in Gracanica, Strpce and Zvecan, the towns in Kosovo.

 

April 2006:

Rich activities of the Folklore Ensemble „Kopaonik“ are continued in April. On the beginning of month the Ensemble participated in the Meeting of Folklore Ensembles of Serbia called “Zlatni opanak”. There the Ensemble got the award as the best Ensemble in Kosovo and Metohija. In a ten days the Ensemble had the concert in Leposavic together with Serbian Cultural Club “St. Sava” from London. After the concert the Ensemble had a wide pallet of performances:

• 14 – 16. 04. the Ensemble was the guest in the town Pirot
• 22. 04. the Ensemble was the guest in Štrpce
• 23. 04. the Ensemble was the particicpator in a Easter Ceremony in Babin Most
• 27. 04. the Ensemble was the participator in TV emission Znanje – Imanje in national television.
